As the calendar turns to May 2026, the energy of the earth shifts from the gentle awakening of early spring into a full, vibrant roar. This is a month of unbridled vitality, blossoming power, and the sacred heat of the sun. In the Sabbath Calendar of Witches, May is anchored by one of the most joyous and potent festivals of the year: Beltane.

Celebrated on May 1st, Beltane (or Bealtaine in Irish) marks the threshold of summer. Its name translates to "Bright Fire," and historically, great bonfires were lit to honour the sun and protect the community.

In terms of Magick and History, Beltane is a celebration of:
